I want to thank all of our members who have been involved in our “Giving Box” ministry. We have collected many items, and we have taken those gifts to the Lincoln Homes to be distributed. Let’s continue giving to this wonderful ministry. Remember, we have two “Giving Boxes” in the building. One is at the front of the building (main entrance), and one is at the rear of the building If any items are too big for the box, please let me know, and I will make special arrangements for those items. I talked to Martha Weatherspoon (housing coordinator at the Lincoln Homes), and she was extremely grateful for all of the gifts.
We also have several of our members involved in the FU.E.L work. Let’s continue praying and supporting this ministry so that the children of this community will be blessed. Our ladies class sponsors this work.
While I am on the subject of those who are involved in the work here at Hilldale, let me once again thank all of our teachers. We have 80 teachers involved in our educational ministry, and that number continues to grow. It is not easy to oversee this large of a number, but this is one of the most cooperative groups I have ever worked with. I hope and pray that God will continue to bless all of our teachers as they labor for His cause.
Our deacons oversee many important ministries here at Hilldale. They give of their energy, effort and time to these ministries. Recently our deacons began meeting on Sunday evening (immediately following the evening services). This meeting is a short meeting lasting about 10 minutes, but the information that is shared between the deacons is of great importance. This meeting helps our deacons to tie up a lot of loose ends. Deacons, thanks for all that you do, and may God continually bless you, your families, and your work with the church.
I hope all of our members are involved in at least one ministry. If you are not, please contact me for some possibilities. Working together and giving God the glory sure makes a difference.
