Travis A. Hartle started serving the youth and their families at the Hilldale church of Christ in September, 2013.
Travis was born in Arkansas, but has lived in Mississippi and West Tennessee as well. He claims Lexington, TN, as home and visits family there frequently.
He obtained a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a minor in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman in 2006. After taking a year off he returned to Freed-Hardeman and earned a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling in 2009 and obtained a School Counseling License.
He has worked in youth ministry for ten years, community mental health counseling for at-risk teens and their families, and career counseling for the Ayers Foundation within a local high school. He has always had a passion for teenagers and their families and hopes to work in that area for many more years, Lord willing.
Travis met his wife, Jessica, while attending FHU and talked her into marrying him in 2007. God blessed them with a beautiful baby girl named Malia Dawn in 2012 and He blessed them again with the elegant Skye Elizabeth in 2014. His three girls are actively involved with the youth program here at Hilldale. Travis also runs a blog about his journey in fatherhood found at www.beingafathermeans.com .
